App privacy policy
Anime Food Recipes
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Anime Food Recipes mobile application (the "Application") for iOS and Android, provided by Lanchas Dev (the "Service Provider") as a free, ad-supported service with an optional one-time purchase. Contact: lanchasdev@gmail.com
1. The short version
- No accounts. The Application has no login and no registration. We never ask for your name, email, postal address, phone number or any government identifier, and we do not have them.
- Advertising. The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob uses your device's advertising identifier and similar data to show and measure ads. Personalised ads are only shown if you allow them: through the consent form (in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) and, on iPhone and iPad, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Anonymous usage statistics. On iOS and Android the Application sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (servers in the European Union) so we can learn which screens and recipes are used and where the app fails. No user profile is built.
- Purchases. The one-time Premium purchase is paid through the App Store or Google Play and verified through RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
- Premium removes all advertising.
2. Data stored on your device
Your favourite recipes, cooking progress, shopping list, preferences (language, diet, allergies, units, theme) and achievements are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the Application, or clearing its data, removes them.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Unless you have bought Premium, the Application shows banner ads inside some screens, an occasional full-screen ad between recipes and an ad when you return to the Application from the background. They are supplied byGoogle AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.), which receives, under its own privacy policy:
- the advertising identifier of your device — the Google Advertising ID on Android, or the IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking (section 4);
- the device's IP address, from which an approximate location (country or region) is derived;
- technical information about the device and the Application, and advertising data: which ads were requested, shown and tapped.
Google uses this data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, to measure their performance and to prevent fraud. Google may combine it with data from other apps and websites when you have allowed personalised advertising; in Apple's terms, that is tracking.
4. Your choices about advertising
On first launch you may see two separate prompts, and they ask different things.
Consent form (Google User Messaging Platform). If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Application shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. If you decline, any ads shown are non-personalised (Google still receives the data needed to deliver and count them and to prevent fraud). You can change your answer at any time from My kitchen → Settings → Ad privacy options; that row appears whenever the consent form applies to you.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS only). Right after the consent form, iOS asks whether the Application may track you. The choice is real:
- If you allow it, AdMob may access the IDFA and use it, together with data from other companies' apps and websites, to personalise and measure ads.
- If you decline, the IDFA is not accessed, no tracking takes place and the ads you see are not based on your activity elsewhere. The Application works exactly the same.
You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone or iPad.
On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time fromSettings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the device).
Buying Premium removes all advertising from the Application.
5. Anonymous usage statistics (PostHog)
The iOS and Android versions send anonymous usage events toPostHog (PostHog Inc., servers in the European Union), which processes them on our behalf and only for us:
- What: the screens you open and for how long, recipes opened and favourited, cooking mode started and finished, the words typed in the recipe search and how many results they gave, onboarding steps, and whether a purchase attempt was started, completed, cancelled or failed (with the store's error message, never payment details).
- With what: a random identifier created on your device when the Application is first opened (renewed every 13 months), the number of days since installation, the app version, the operating system and its version, the app language and the approximate country that PostHog derives from the connection's IP address.
- Without: no name, email, account, advertising identifier, precise location, contacts or photos. No user profile is built, and the data is not shared with advertisers or used for advertising.
- Why: to measure and improve the Application (which recipes are missing, which screens confuse people, whether purchases work). It is first-party, aggregate audience measurement, so no consent prompt is shown; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the use of our own app. Please do not type personal information into the search field.
- How to stop it: clearing the Application's data or uninstalling it deletes the identifier; a new installation starts a new one.
6. Purchases (App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat)
You can buy Premium with a single one-time in-app purchase. It unlocks the premium recipes and removes all advertising. The payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies: we never see your payment details, name or store account.
To check whether you own Premium and to restore it after a reinstall, the Application uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), which processes on our behalf:
- an anonymous app user identifier generated by its SDK (not linked to your name, email or store account);
- your purchase history for this Application as reported by the store (product, transaction identifiers, dates, price and currency, country of the store);
- basic technical information about the device and the Application.
This data is used only to provide and restore the purchase and to give us aggregate sales figures. It is not used for advertising.
7. Sharing and links
When you choose to share a recipe, your device's own share sheet is used and only the text you see is shared, with the app you pick. The Application does not send anything itself. Links that leave the Application (such as this policy) open in your browser.
8. Third parties
We do not sell your data. The providers that receive data from the Application are:
| Provider | Role | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Google (AdMob, User Messaging Platform) | Independent controller for advertising | Ads, ad measurement, fraud prevention, consent |
| PostHog | Processor on our behalf | Anonymous usage statistics (section 5) |
| RevenueCat | Processor on our behalf | Verifying and restoring the purchase (section 6) |
| Apple / Google (stores) | Independent controllers | Download, payment and purchase records |
9. Data retention
- Advertising data collected by Google is retained under Google's own policies.
- Usage statistics held in PostHog are retained for 12 months from collection and then deleted.
- Purchase records in RevenueCat are kept for as long as needed to provide and restore the purchase and to meet accounting obligations.
- Support emails: if you write to us, your message and address are used only to reply and are kept for at most 6 months, unless a legal obligation requires longer.
10. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection over your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (section 4).
An honest limitation: the Application has no accounts, so we hold nothing that lets us find your statistics or purchase records by who you are. In practice:
- withdraw or change advertising consent from Ad privacy options and the iOSTracking setting (section 4);
- reset or delete your advertising identifier from your device settings;
- clear the Application's data or uninstall it to delete the analytics identifier and everything stored on the device;
- for anything else, write to lanchasdev@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
11. Children's privacy
The Application is a general-audience cooking app intended for users aged 13 and over; it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has used the Application and data about them has been collected, write to lanchasdev@gmail.com and we will help delete it. Parents can also use the device's own controls (Screen Time on iOS, Family Link on Android) to restrict purchases and tracking.
12. International data transfers
PostHog processes the usage statistics within the European Union. Google and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries; those transfers rely on the safeguards described in their privacy policies, including standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when the revised version is posted, with a new "Last updated" date.
